As a PM – Release Management, you will build on your focus and knowledge of release management, client management and continue to develop relationships and business acumen in the Canadian wealth management industry. The candidate will be accountable for establishing a release schedule that aligns to our client’s strategy. The PM – Release Management works with both internal and external (client) stakeholders to manage all software releases.

Key Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key senior client stakeholders

  • Providing top notch customer service, supporting our client in their use of Broadridge’s software

  • Consistently work in lock step with senior client stakeholders to understand their strategies and how Broadridge can deliver the necessary solutions in a timely manner to ensure we do our part to help our client realize the financial benefits defined as part of their business case

  • Works closely with the Account Managers, delivery, and support teams to manage overall release calendar, to identify and mitigate potential conflicts in the development and test regions

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading of production readiness meetings for all software releases and secure approvals from support teams as well as client stakeholders to execute production deployment

  • Managing software deliveries to our clients, including the Release Charter process, release milestones / cut-off periods and project tracking throughout the solutions design and development period

  • Engages with all aspects of the various projects from the early phases of the development life cycle to ensure alignment with the overall release schedules

  • Lead both internal and external coordination and participation in software documentation walkthroughs

  • Ensures and collects release specific metrics to define a quality release

  • Defines, tracks, and manages release content and schedules – a comprehensive plan that integrates all the inputs and outputs of release planning activities, including the creation of release plans with dependencies, including batch requirements and dependencies

  • Release management services in the post-production relationship, e.g., ongoing software delivery planning and managing delivery of production releases

  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of Broadridge’s software implementations, across program streams such as business functional, technical / NFRs

  • Communicate with internal departments to ensure software release activities are managed and coordinated accordingly

  • Generate professional and accurate client documentations for release-related activities

  • Leading client meetings and other recurring activities with our clients, facilitates release planning and status meetings to review changes to releases and/or resolve items of high or moderate concern, including preparation of meeting materials and minutes

  • Works across the organization to improve and enforce development, testing, release documentation standards in conjunction with the development life cycle

Education:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably with a focus on subjects such as Computer Science, Project Management, Software Development or Business

Experience:

  • Experience in a client facing roles is mandatory

  • 3 - 5 years of direct experience in a software release management role at a Financial Services Institution or in a Fintech company delivering and implementing wealth management solutions to Banking, IIROC and MFDA organizations

  • Experience in Application Service Provider (ASP) business is an asset

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive, “service-first” attitude combined with superior interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently on projects, with tight deadlines, under minimal supervision

  • Understanding and experience in the financial services industry, preferably in banking, mutual funds and/or securities is required

Tools:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
