Broadridge Financial Solutions Senior Director, Global Accounting Operations (Hybrid) in Newark, New Jersey

The Senior Director, Global Accounting Operations will take a key finance leadership role in the Global Accounting Operations Organization at Broadridge Financial Solutions. The role will report into the VP, Accounting Operations Controller and will work closely with the Segment Controllers as well as leadership across FP&A, Shared Services, Tax, as well as other areas within the business units. The role will lead our Asset Management Center of Excellence which includes Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, Prepaid Expense Accounting, Deferred Client Conversion Assets (DCCA), IUS, Lease Accounting, as well as other related areas. He/She will be required to be an excellent presenter (written and verbal) and clearly communicate to global teams as well as executive audiences.

We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means youll be assigned to a Broadridge officeandgiven the flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a timely, accurate and complete accounting close across the Asset Management Center of Excellence while ensuring strong internal control environment.

  • Provide accounting leadership and support to offshore team members within Asset Management Center of Excellence.

  • Oversee reconciliation process for all accounts managed by Asset Management team and ensure reconciliations are prepared and reviewed/approved in accordance with BR reconciliation policy.

  • Review and approve journal entries on a monthly basis.

  • Responsible for end-to-end projecting accounting process for Broadridge. Ensure gaps in data flow from time tracking systems to project accounting modules are researched and resolved with relevant technology teams as well as PMO teams.

  • Ensure all leases are accounted for in accordance with ASC 842. Become subject matter expert in Oracle Property Manager (OPM) as well as new real estate management software that will be selected by Broadridge.

  • Partner with FP&A and Accounting Policy teams on a quarterly basis to ensure DCCA and IUS costs are recoverable.

  • Provide quarterly footnote disclosure support to the SEC Reporting team.

  • Partner with Technical Accounting team to ensure proper accounting for complex term license arrangements, lease abandonments, DCCA/IUS impairments, and other complex areas.

  • Participate and be a key stakeholder in BRs Digital Transformation Project.

  • Lead a high caliber Asset Management Center of Excellence team by retaining and attracting top talent, assessing and addressing individual and group needs, communicating well, and driving high levels of engagement.

Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Accomplished business and finance leader with a consistent record of high performance, financial, strategic and operational leadership across global teams.

  • Excellent analytical, financial and business management skills with deep understanding of B/S, P&L, and C/F statements.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting policies and ability to evolve processes to keep in step with the business strategy and growth.

  • Strong project management, change management and reconciliation skills.

  • Outstanding ability to communicate and break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting

  • 10+ years experience, preferably in a controllership function

  • CPA preferred

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP

  • Strong project management, problem solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Outstanding leadership qualities, including the ability to build and lead high-performing teams

  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders

  • Oracle Cloud ERP experience desired
