Broadridge is growing! We are seeking a Scrum Master to join our team! The Scrum Master will lead Broadridge in using Scrum framework within teams to deliver high impact value to the organization. This role is responsible for facilitating the successful delivery of highly visible, complex projects in support of Broadridges technology product development teams. We need someone to lead a full Agile team (5-9 members) through the full Agile process lifecycle. Provides mentorship on agile processes and leading agile ceremonies and other team meetings. Partners with the Product Analyst / Owner, assures teams are effectively managing the backlog requirements and that the team is meeting sprint objectives while removing any blockers or impediments.

We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means youll be assigned to a Broadridge officeand be required to work on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all ceremonies and planning events including the daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint review and sprint retrospective, release planning.

  • Guide the teams to help understand how to estimate features and capabilities, supporting realistic commitments.

  • Collaborate with external teams to address any blocking issues, helping Scrum teams to remain focused on their goals. Represent Scrum teams at appropriate ceremonies, including Scrum of Scrums.

  • Work with Product Owners to ensure a healthy backlog. Guide the teams in respecting the priorities and scope identified through the backlog.

  • Challenge the team norms to improve performance in quality, predictability, flow, and velocity, while supporting team focus on daily, sprint and release goals.

  • Mentor, motivate and drive process improvements with team members

  • Help the teams manage challenges.

  • Facilitate retrospectives to help identify areas of opportunity for improvement and take responsibility for identified actions.

  • Guide the teams to comply with Broadridge processes and principles, consistently improving the quality and quantity of their deliverables.

  • Facilitate preparation and readiness for build demos and releases, help teams prepare for such activities, including review ceremonies with stakeholders.

  • Closely monitor and report on the progress of a project to all stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in a Scrum Master role with strong knowledge in Agile principles and practices. Scrum master certification is a plus.

  • Confidence in working with Scrum teams.

  • Capable of motivating teams to take ownership of their processes.

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to interact at all levels within a global and diverse organisation.

  • Comfortable and composed working in a high-pressure environment to meet deadlines.

  • Strong drive for results, resourceful with ability to prioritise and work independently or in groups.

  • Relevant 3rd level degree or professional qualification

  • Scrum Alliance CSM (required) CSP certification or PMIs Agile Certified Professional (ACP)Scrum Alliance CSM (required) CSP certification or PMIs Agile Certified Professional (ACP)

  • Verbal and Written communication skills

  • Process management

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Consensus building and negotiating skills
