Broadridge Financial Solutions Production Equipment Supervisor - Onsite in Edgewood, New York

Broadridge is growing! We are seeking a Supervisor, Production Equipment Support to join our team in Deer Park, NY! We are looking for someone to provide direction and mechanical support to all production mechanics as the need arises. We need an individual to monitor all work in progress ensuring that a constant production workflow is maintained, and equipment repairs are completed in a timely fashion. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains our parts inventory for all equipment by providing a complete list of parts to be ordered, including the vendor to be used and the associated cost for each part.

  • Monitor records of preventive maintenance performed on equipment and ensures that the maintenance occurs according to scheduled deadlines.

  • Keeps informed of all new technology and equipment used by the technical support and production operations departments.

  • Fills in and assumes all Management responsibilities in the Department Managers absence.

  • Accountable to meet or exceed Cost Per Unit targets on his/her shift (i.e. labor costs, overtime, inventory control etc.)

  • Monitors and improves machine efficiency.

  • Coaches, counsels, motivates, develops, supports, encourages and instructs all Technicians under direct report.

  • Verifies all administrative work is filled out accurately, monitoring and following departmental procedures.

  • Maintains all records pertaining to department personnel under individuals report.

  • Span of control, approx: 6-8 FTAs + 6-8 TEs and all production equipment used by technical support and production operations.

  • Position requires daily communication/ updates with senior management on strategic work scheduling issues.

  • Monitors daily reports on thruput and equipment downtime giving feedback to department personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Technical/Trade School

  • 5+ years experience and a proven proficiency in the operation and repair of production equipment.

  • A proven proficiency in the operation and repair of insertion and bindery equipment, electronic and electric circuit experience necessary.

  • Electrical and electronics repair is a plus.

  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of reporting tools Jet/IQ

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office.

  • 3 years min. supervisory experience in a high volume production environment

Skills/Proficiencies:

  • Functional/technical skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to take direction and to work under pressure due to time constraints as necessary

Requirements:

  • 40+ hours Safety Training Certification

  • 40+ hours external Certified Training on related equipment

  • 8+ hours Safety/Electrical Training

  • 16+ hours Recertification as needed on any/all existing training annually

    Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Rate: $65,000 - $75,000 per year depending on experience

  • Annual Bonus: 10% MBO
