Role Summary

Rockall - A Broadridge Business (Broadridge Ireland) is seeking a Solution Architect to design and deliver product solutions to leading Financial Institutions all around the world. We provide specialized solutions for Credit Risk Management. You will help integrate our products into the Financial Institution’s ecosystem. Experience in delivery of multi-tier enterprise applications, SaaS, Enterprise Java and AWS is desirable.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customer technical staff in solutions design and delivery

  • Design integrated solutions where our products interoperate with customer’s systems

  • Work with product managers and product designers to shape the evolution of the product set, with a specific focus on integration and extension capabilities

  • Commit to producing high quality, highly performant and robust software within agreed time estimates and to agreed quality

  • Work at multiple layers in the technology stack e.g. DB, Application Layer, UI Layer

  • Document technical proposals and bring them to fruition in collaboration with the product and customer teams

  • Contribute to planning of solution delivery through estimations, dependency and risk management

  • Support QA activities through assistance on test design and test planning where appropriate

  • Contribute to the sales process with technical content

  • Contribute to troubleshooting of customer issues, where appropriate

  • Regularly update job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations etc.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Familiarity with Java, Python, Typescript and other similar technologies

  • Familiarity with one or more RDBMS’s (e.g. Postgres, Oracle)

  • Experience developing and deploying solutions on one or more major public Cloud platforms e.g. AWS, Azure

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to show flexibility and reach compromise where appropriate

  • Willingness to take ownership for assigned aspects of projects

  • Ability to work constructively in a shared team environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High standard of English

  • Ability to travel 10% - 30% (locations depending on customer sites for specific projects)

  • Primary or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline

  • Eligible to work in Ireland

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with cloud and container tooling such as Docker, Nomad, Terraform

  • Familiarity with Linux and system engineering concepts

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies

  • Experience of implementing Web Services

  • Knowledge of web UI technologies e.g. Angular & Typescript

  • Single Sign On expertise i.e. SAML 2
